REGION & DESCRIPTION
During my adventures through Peru, I had the immense pleasure of witnessing the cultivation of our Peru coffee beans firsthand. Nestled within the Valle Occidental region, these beans are nurtured with tender care by around 30 remarkable women as part of the extraordinary JUMARP Mujeres program. It's more than just coffee production—it's a journey of empowerment and community development.
From the moment of harvest, where families join hands to pick the ripe cherries, to the meticulous processing using time-honored methods of pulping and fermentation, each step is a testament to dedication and tradition. As the beans bask in the Andean sun on raised beds or drying sheds, their flavors intensify, creating a brew of unparalleled excellence. This is coffee with a purpose—a brew that not only tantalizes the taste buds but also uplifts communities and empowers women across Peru.
